A special thank you to Professor Jennifer Dowling and her students in her graphic animation class at Framingham State University. Congratulations to Katy Brewer and Stella Socha for being a piece of history at Kobe Henro with your animated logo designs.

Every day is an adventure and we are deeply appreciative of our supporters. We could not be on this wonderful journey without them.

Thank you for helping us fill those bowls!

Did you know?

There are approximately 30 million pets in the United States who are hungry. We hand-deliver pet food to community food pantries and southern rescue transports.

Delivering pet food donations
from point A to point B is what we do.

History of Kobe Henro

KoolieKoolie was purchased for $10 from a family in Newton Center, after their dog gave birth to a litter of six puppies and they needed to find homes for the friendly mutts. Koolie was immediately a loyal and loving companion and was at Helaine’s side through many memorable events, including during Koolie’s golden years as a canine big sister to twin human baby girls.

Belle

Belle, a yellow Labrador, was adopted at six months old from Sudbury-based, Buddy Dog Humane Society in 2001. Sweet and extremely good natured, Belle was the epitome of a family dog. She often joined the family for vacation road trips with her most memorable, the 2010 summer trip to Quebec when she managed to jump in and cool down in a variety of refreshing fountains throughout the province of Quebec.

Helaine Block

A longtime resident of Sudbury and a Newton native, Helaine has been an animal lover since her toddler days. Growing up in a family of animal lovers, it is no surprise that her three daughters possess the same love and passion for animals.

A former editor, publicist and dog walker, the time was ideal for Helaine to pool her skills and connections together and launch a non-profit to help hungry pets with food and treats.

Now that you have met the four dogs who were the canine inspiration for Kobe Henro, you may have noticed that portions of their four names have been merged together to form our new venture, Kobe Henro.
